Publish Webflow Form Submissions Directly via CMS
Level:
Einfach 👌
I'll show you how to use MAKE (formerly Integromat) to automatically transfer form content from your Webflow website to the Webflow CMS. This means that a site visitor fills out a form on my website and I want to publish this data directly again in my CMS. In my case, it is a testimonial that I can publish without my help.
In the future, this simple scenario will certainly also be possible with Webflow Logic. There will also be a tutorial for that.
You can use MAKE with a free account:

Written instructions on how to publish form content directly from Webflow's CMS:
- Create a form in Webflow that collects the data that you want to publish to the CMS. You can use Webflow's standard form elements to do this.
- Create a CMS collection in Webflow, in which the form data should be saved later. Each CMS field needs a name that corresponds to the name in the form.
- Create a Make account if you don't already have one. This is necessary to first send the form data to Make so that it can then be sent back to the CMS from there.
- Create a webhook in Make to send the form data to Make. Then copy the webhook from Make and paste it into the appropriate field in the Webflow form settings panel.
- Go to Make and create a new action that creates an entry in the Webflow collection. Fill in the required information, including the collection ID and fields associated with the form.
- Test the form by entering a few details and submitting the form. Check that the data was successfully sent to Make and that it was saved in the corresponding collection in the Webflow CMS.
- Once the form data has been successfully saved in the CMS, you can manually publish it by opening the corresponding CMS entry in Webflow and clicking publish. The data is then displayed on your website. Make can also automatically publish this step.
These are the basic steps for publishing form content directly via Webflow's CMS. Note that you'll need a Make account and create a webhook to send the data from the Webflow form to MAKE. Then you can easily publish them automatically and fill your website with up-to-date content.
